Having this happen on more than one occasion, from two different people, I like to stay optimistic and be thankful that they did not think I was beyond hope. So I think you should be touched...although it is possible you may want to be concerned.

Wearing a Braille t-shirt with the message "I hate you," OR dancing around nekkid... angrily of course... should solve the trick.
